Leavenworth is a very welcoming community that is a real world class tourist destination.  There are tons of things to do in Leavenworth, including everything from getting out and about in the great outdoors to shopping at some of the most unique shops you can find in the Pacific Northwest.  Whatever the reason you go there, Leavenworth will find a way to make it your best trip ever.

Downtown Leavenworth features shops dedicated to Christmas, candy, toys, pastries, collectibles, sculptures, sporting goods, paintings, hats, and more.  There are also some great restaurants and cafes to eat at in town, many that have become favorites of the city's frequent visitors as well as locals too.  Walking the sidewalks of Leavenworth and seeing what is there is half the fun of going there.

Leavenworth also has a number of local celebrations and festivals, with two of the most popular are Oktoberfest and Christmas Tree Lighting.  These are great times to come to the city and be a part of a fun and exciting time.  The businesses and people there really know how to treat and take care of the visitors that go there, so you should have no problem being entertained.  The city is also great to visit on non-festival weekends too.  Leavenworth is simply a great destination and it is the perfect place to travel to at any time of the year.
